Ashley Durmer Named Sacred Heart Athlete-of-the-Week

FAIRFIELD, CT (December 17, 2002) - Senior Ashley Durmer (Nashua, NH) was named the Sacred Heart University Athlete of the Week for the week of December 9th through 15th.
Durmer takes home the honor after helping lead the Sacred Heart women's basketball team to their fourth-straight victory, defeating Wagner College, 59-43, this past Sunday. The senior guard poured in a season-high 16 points and grabbed six rebounds, also a season-high, to pace the Pioneers to their first Northeast Conference win of the year. Durmer is currently tops on the squad in three-point field goal percentage (.433/13-30) and is second in scoring, averaging 10.6 points per-game. She is closing in on the school record for career three-point fields, needing just 16 more this season to move past Chrissie Perkins (1994-98) with a 146 three-point makes.
Durmer and the Pioneers take their four-game winning streak on the road to Milwaukee, WI to take on the Marquette University Golden Eagles on Saturday, December 21st at 4 pm CST.
