The Storyline... The Sacred Heart women's basketball team takes on nationally ranked Boston College Sunday afternoon in their last game before the holiday break. The Pioneers are coming off a tough loss last time out to Wagner that open their Northeast Conference schedule. SHU had been riding a three-game winning streak before facing the Seahawks. Freshman Amanda Pape continues to pace the Pioneers, scoring 20-plus points for the fourth time in the Wagner loss. Pape leads the team in scoring with 17.4 points per game and is tops on the team and in the NEC in steals with 25 (3.6 spg). Getting back into the win column will prove no easy task for the Pioneers, as they face a 7-1 BC team that is coming off a tough one-point overtime loss at George Washington last week. The Eagles have three starters averaging double figures in guard Amber Jacobs (18.4) and Jessalyn Deveny (17.0) and center Kisa Macchia (12.4).
