The Storyline... The Sacred Heart and Yale University women's basketball team's will take to the court Wednesday night at the William H. Pitt Center for their annual early season meeting. The series has been all Sacred Heart of late as the Pioneers have won the last four meetings between the two schools. Sacred Heart is off to a 3-1 start for the third-straight year as they look to build off their 75-60 win over Louisiana-Lafayette last time out. Freshman Amanda Pape has shown she could carry over her success on the high school hardwood to the college game, scoring 23 and 24 points in two wins last week. Pape earned her first Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week award and is currently leading the team in scoring with 16.5 points per game. In their three wins this year, Pape and the Pioneers have won by an average of 21 points per contest while forcing a combined 96 turnovers. Yale has struggled out of the gates at 0-4 with losses to Quinnipiac, Vermont, Oklahoma State and Gonzaga to start the year.
