
Women's Ice Hockey Blanks Robert Morris, 6-0

MILFORD, CT - Junior goalie Stephanie Boulay (Anchorage, AK) made 16 saves for her first shutout of the season and senior Jessica Felt (Killingworth, CT) scored the only goal her team would need at 5:36 of the second period to lead the Sacred Heart University women's hockey team to a 6-0 win over visiting Robert Morris College of Illinois on Friday night.
After a scoreless first period, Felt broke the ice for the Pioneers with assists from senior Sarah Turbert (Norwalk, CT) and freshman Whitney Dzamia (Walpole, MA). Defenseman Jane Auxier (Palm Beach, FL) made it 2-0 at 12:22 with an assist from Erin Barry (Pompton Plains, NJ). The Pioneers completed the team hat trick with an unassisted goal by Dzamia at 13:54.
Sacred Heart, now 1-2-1, scored three more times in the third period. Freshman Gina Arnone (Bridgewater, NJ) scored at 10:04 of the period and then assisted on a goal by junior Michelle Panella (Marlboro, NJ) at 17:11. Turbert put the icing on the cake with an unassisted tally at 18:32.
The Pioneers and Eagles will face off again on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
