Final Stats
RIVERDALE, NY (October 29, 2005) - The Sacred Heart women's volleyball team lost in four games Saturday afternoon to Manhattan College. The Jaspers posted scores of 30-18, 29-31, 30-27 and 30-23 to improve to 15-13 on the year while the Pioneers fall to 5-16 overall.
The Pioneers got a team-high 12 kills from sophomore Samantha McMillan (Manassas, VA). McMillan hit .375 (12-3-24) in the match and also led the team with a match-best 23 digs. Junior Justina Bell (Holcomb, KS) posted 11 kills while senior Heather Brooks (Regina, SK) had 10 kills and five total blocks. Bell also finished with 17 digs.
Also recording double digit digs was freshman Katie Thomas (Wappingers Falls, NY) with 17 and senior Michelle Clarke (Baltimore, MD) with 11. Clarke passed out 46 assists in the loss.
For Manhattan, Megan O'Dorisio posted 15 kills and 15 digs while Maggie Pfeifer had 17 kills. Ashley Watson finished with 12 kills and 16 digs. Ashley Davis finished with 20 digs and Alyssa Getzel had 12.
The Pioneers return to action on Tuesday, November 1st hosting Long Island at 7:30 pm
