Box Score (Moon Township, PA) - Lindsay Kasten
(Fair Haven, NJ) scored the game's only goal and Kim Stow (Norwalk, CT)
stopped all five shots in the Sacred Heart Pioneer field hockey
team's 1-0 win at Robert Morris Friday afternoon.
Kasten took a goal-mouth feed from Chelsea Carlson
(Peterborough, NH) and knocked it in the wide-open goal for her
team-leading fifth goal of the season at the 59:59 mark.
Carlson earned her third assist of the year to tie her for the team
lead in helpers.
Robert Morris goalie Stephanie Seeley made three saves on the
day, but Stow bested her with her second shutout of the
season. Stow's five saves upped her total to a Northeast
Conference best 139 on the season, helping drop her goals against
average to 2.98.
Sacred Heart captured its first conference win of the season
with the victory. The Pioneers are next in action Sunday
afternoon at 1:00 p.m. as they close out a two-game weekend road
trip through western Pennsylvania at Saint Francis (PA).
