Pioneers Fall in NEC Semi-Final

Loretto, PA – For the second straight season the Pioneers season ends in the NEC Tournament semi-finals. Saint Francis (PA) took down the Pioneers 2-0 Friday afternoon to advance to the NEC finals. The Red Flash has now defeated the Pioneers in back-to -back NEC tournaments.
Three-time NEC Player of the Year Tesa McKibben scored both goals for the Red Flash and goalie Brianna Butcher shut-out the Pioneers. The Pioneers did not score a goal for the 8th time this season. The offense for SHU could not get much going against a stout Saint Francis (PA) defense, putting only two shots on goal, both by senior Ashley Moore (Levittown, NY).
The Pioneers finish the season 9-9-1 overall and 6-4-1 in the NEC.
