Burlington, VT – University of New Hampshire's Kirsten O'Neill scored the game's lone goal in the 27th minute to defeat Sacred Heart 1-0 in the Pioneers' final game of the TD Bank Classic in Burlington, Vermont. SHU falls to 0-2 on the young season.
O'Neil was able to put one past the keeper after receiving a perfectly executed throw-in by Kelsi O'Neil in the middle of the box. Sacred Heart outshot the Wildcats, 12-10, but could not get one past UNH goalkeeper Erica Correa.
SHU will be in action next on Thursday when they travel to take on the University of Rhode Island.
