Providence, RI – Brown forward Chloe Cross scored two second half goals Sunday afternoon as the Sacred Heart Pioneers fell to the Brown Bears 2-0 at Stevenson Field in Providence. Sacred Heart had a two game winning streak snap and fall to 3-6 on the season.
Cross knocked in a rebound in the 57th minute to give Brown the 1-0 lead. Mika Siegelman started the play with a shot that was blocked in the front of the net, which then Cross put away.
Cross added the insurance goal in the 65th minute off a beautiful cross from Sydney Calsa that gave Brown the insurmountable 2-0 lead.
The Pioneers wrap up non-conference play when they travel to take on the Hartford Hawks on Thursday at 7:00 pm.
