WORCESTER, Mass – The Holy Cross Crusaders scored five goals in the first and second periods on their way to an 11-0 win over the Sacred Heart women's hockey team Tuesday night at the Hart Center. The Pioneers fall to 4-9-5 on the season, while Holy Cross improves to 9-5.
Mary Klimasewisky scored three goals for Holy Cross, while eight more Crusaders lit the lamp in the lop-sided victory. Nicole Gianinno scored a goal to go along with three assists.
Holy Cross outshot the Pioneers 39-19. SHU outshot the Crusaders 8-6 in the third period.
The Pioneers will look to rebound this weekend when they travel to SUNY Cortland for a two game series against the Red Dragons.
