
10 Pioneers Named NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes

FAIRFIELD, CONN. (November 19, 2014)—Ten members of the 2014 Sacred Heart softball team were named All-America Scholar Athletes by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for their work in the classroom. Jenn Robillard, Kacie Wentworth, Kelyn Fillmore, Victoria D'Addario, McKenna Wiegand, Carina Zupa, and Andrea Sidor, along with Class of 2014 members Taylor Lane, Annie Dreher and Jade Bowins posted a GPA 3.50 or higher during the 2013-14 academic year to earn the distinction.
"We are extremely proud that 10 of our girls were named NFCA All-American Scholar Athletes last year," said Co-Head Coach Elizabeth Luckie. "This is a credit to their commitment to excellence on and off the field."
The Pioneers open their 2015 season on February 20 against Boston College in the Chanticleer Showdown hosted by Coastal Carolina University.
