Women's Basketball Announces Class of 2019

FAIRFIELD, CONN. (December 9, 2014)—Sacred Heart women's basketball head coach Jessica Mannetti announced three National Letter of Intent signees to the Class of 2019: Erin Stork of Commack, N.Y., Briana Hardee of Waldorf, Md. and Charikleia Polyzou of Athens, Greece.
"I am extremely pleased to welcome three new additions to our Pioneer family for the 2015-16 season," said Mannetti. "This is a strong and balanced recruiting class and each player brings a variety of strengths to compliment our team both on and off the court."
Erin Stork | Guard | 5'9"
Hometown/High School: Commack, N.Y./Long Island Lutheran High School
Athletic Accomplishments: Led Long Island Lutheran High School to the 2014 New York State Federation Championship, where she was named to the All-Tournament Team… Named Suffolk Country All-Conference in 2012, and Suffolk County All-League in 2011 and 2012… Earned varsity letters in basketball and soccer all four years at Long Island Lutheran High School…
Academic Accomplishments: American Sign Language Honors Society…

Briana Hardee | Guard | 5'9"
Hometown/High School: Waldorf, Md./Westlake High School
Athletic Accomplishments: Earned four varsity letters in basketball while at Westlake High School… Led Our Lady of Good Counsel High School to the 2012 Washington Catholic Athletic Conference Championship, and was named to the DC Sports Fan All-Freshman Team… Earned All-WCAC Honorable Mention honors her sophomore year… Named All-WCAC Third Team her junior year after being named Team MVP for St. Mary's Ryken High School…
Academic Accomplishments: Earned a spot on the President's and Principal's Honor Roll 2011-2014…
What Coach Mannetti Says: "Briana is a strong and aggressive guard coming to our team from elite summer and high school programs. She plays up-tempo, get to the rim and creates a tough match-up to guard as she has great physical presence on the court."
Charikleia "Cleo" Polyzou | Guard | 5'11"
Hometown/High School/Previous Team: Athens, Greece/Psychico College/Greek National Team
Athletic Accomplishments: Member of the Greek National Team since 2011… Attended U15 International Tournament between Greece, Italy, Spain and France in 2011. She attended the same tournament in 2012 and earned a spot in the All-Tournament Team… Attended U16 European Championship in 2012… Led her team playing in the U18 European Championship in 2014… In 2013, she was named the best athlete at Psychico College… Named MVP of the school championship in 2013 and 2014 after leading the team with 27 points per game, with a season high 42 points, and 15 rebounds and four steals per game… Led her club team, Melissia BC, in scoring averaging 18.2 points per game with eight rebounds and two steals per game…
