MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The Sacred Heart women's soccer team got goals from Dana Cosmedy and Kim McNally in the first half Friday against Robert Morris at North Athletic Complex, but the Colonials scored the lone goal of the second half to win 3-2.

Robert Morris (4-7-0, 1-0-0 NEC) got on the scoreboard early as an Erin Ritzer shot found the left corner of the net in the fourth minute to give the Colonials a 1-0 lead. Sacred Heart (3-9-0, 0-3-0 NEC) tied the game in the 13^th minute when senior Dana Cosmedy scored her sixth goal of the season by knocking in a corner kick from Emily Montgomery. RMU took back the lead in the 23^rd minute when Kristie Hamilton's shot from distance found the net.

Once again, the Pioneers responded to tie the game. In the 38^th minute, Kim McNally one-touched a corner kick into the top right corner of the net to make the score 2-2 before halftime. The Colonials broke the tie in the 65^th minute when Cassie Raymond put a Lauren Sulkowski pass into the back of the net. The Pioneers had two shots on goal in the final 15 minutes but couldn't find the equalizer.

Sacred Heart now travels to Saint Francis U on Sunday, Oct. 11 for a 12 p.m. match against the Red Flash.

FIRST HALF

- SHU goalkeeper Talia Schwartz was pressed into action early, making a save in the third minute. She also made another save in the eighth minute.

- Cosmedy's goal was her fifth in the last six games.

- Alex Mesropyan had a shot cleared off the goal line by the Robert Morris defense in the 17^th minute.

- Two minutes later, Lindsay Corallo had a header saved by Colonials goalkeeper Chelsea De Jager. She also had a shot saved in the 22^nd minute.

- McNally's goal in the 38^th minute was the first of her career.

- Montgomery assisted on both SHU goals, giving her the first multi-point game of her career.

SECOND HALF

- Schwartz had to make a save 0:23 into the second half. In the 53^rd minute, the senior made a save on a Gabrielle Corrente shot.

- Robert Morris' Theresa Laux hit the crossbar in the 55^th minute off of a corner kick.

- McNally put a header over the crossbar in the 71^st minute.
