
Softball Announces Class of 2020

FAIRFIELD, CONN. (November 23, 2015)—Co-Head Coaches Elizabeth Luckie and Pam London announced the Sacred Heart softball class of 2020 Monday morning. The Pioneers will welcome Katelyn Christian, Jennie Boisvert and Cierra Casale to the roster for the 2016 season.
"We are very proud and excited about these three fantastic student-athletes," said London. "These three young women will be great additions to our Pioneer softball family as they are already proven accomplished athletes and great students."
Katelyn Christian
Third Base | Torrance, Calif. | Torrance High School
What Coach London Says:
Katelyn will add more power and offense to our roster. She is a very mature and competitive infielder. I look forward to Katelyn having an immediate impact in our lineup.
Athletic Honors
- Led Torrance High School to the 2015 CIF Division III Championship
- Four-year Team Captain of the Torrance High School softball team
- Three-time First Team All-League
- Two-time Daily Breeze First Team All-Area
- All-CIF Southern Section
- Voted Best Offensive Player and Best Defensive Player
- Set the Torrance High School record for single-season batting average (.472) and single season RBI (31)
- Competed in the PGF Nationals the past three seasons with her travel team, the Ohana Tigers
Academic Honors
- Member of the National Honor Society with a 4.5 grade point average
Jennie Boisvert

What Coach London Says:
Jennie comes to us from Florida and will be a great addition to our catching staff. She is a very good catcher who works well with her pitchers. She is also an exceptional offensive catcher, who I am sure will contribute to our lineup right away.
Athletic Honors
- Four-time varsity letter winner in softball at Bishop Verot High School
- 2015: First Team All-State FHSAA Class 4A, First Team Newspress All-Area,
- Named Varsity Team Captain for her junior season
- Named Team Offensive Player of the Year after a season where she led the team in batting average (.488), runs batted in (30), hits (42), doubles (15), slugging percentage (.697), OPS (1.233), on-base percentage (.535) while scoring 22 runs.
- Defensively in 2015, she led the state in caught stealing percentage of .783, throwing out 18 of 23 runners, as well as fielding percentage for catchers 1.000.
- Second Team Newspree All-Area honoree and Team MVP after her sophomore campaign
- Named Varsity Softball Rookie of the Year and earned Honorable Mention Newspress All-Area as a third baseman her freshmen year, during which she was the team batting leader
Academic Honors
- With a 4.43 grade point average, she has been named to the Bishop Verot High School Principals List three times
- Earned the NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete Award after her junior year
- Three-year member of the National Honor Society, and a one-year member of Mu Alpha Theta, the Math National Honor Society
Cierra "C" Casale

C is an excellent athlete, who really impressed us during our summer camp with her work ethic and enthusiasm. She is going to be a very valuable utility player for us.

- Led Hoosic Valley High School all the way to the New York State Final Four in 2015 after winning the Section 2 and Regional championships
- 2015 Hoosic Valley Team Captain
- Junior Year: First Team All-State, New York State Section 2 All Star, First Team All-Wassaren League
- After her sophomore season, she was named a New York State Section 2 All Star and Corinth Tournament MVP, while earning New York State All-State third team honors
Academic Honors
- Earned High Honors every year at Hoosic Valley, and earned academic awards in math, English, Spanish and science
