Williamstown, Mass. - For the second straight contest, the Sacred Heart University women's ice hockey team rallied from a deficit to earn a 2-2 road tie, as they faced Williams on Tuesday night. After getting outshot, 23-4, in the third, the Pioneers managed the first three attempts on net in overtime, all in the first 2:29. In addition to converting on its only power play opportunity, the SHU penalty kill denied Williams on all three of its opportunities. The Ephs outshot the Pioneers in each period, including, 19-6, in the first, and, 13-6, in the second.
The Ephs got on the board just 2:38 in, with Perry McCarthy giving Williams the early lead. The advantage was two less than six minutes later, as Eliza Noyes beat Fontaine with 11:45 showing on the first period clock.
