Pioneers Blanked by Stetson 5-0

DeLAND, FL (March 3, 2015)—Freshman Lauren Delgadillo went 2-for-3 at the plate in the Sacred Heart softball team's 5-0 loss to Stetson Tuesday afternoon.
Kacie Wentworth got the loss after giving up four runs over just two innings of work. Three Pioneer pitchers racked up 15 strikeouts throughout the game, but SHU bats were unable to push any of the seven runners that reached base across the plate. Jamie Carlson gave up one run on one hit in the bottom of the fifth over three innings of work before Adrianna Mallory came in to shut down the Hatters in the sixth inning.
The Pioneers open the 2015 Rebel games against Presbyterian at 10:00 a.m. before playing Saint Francis U at 12:15 p.m.
