
Mazza Finds the Try Zone Twice in Pioneers' Loss to AIC

FAIRFIELD, CONN. (September 19, 2015)—Rachel Mazza scored two tries in the Sacred Heart women's rugby team's 114-10 loss to AIC Saturday on Campus Field. Her first, with 37:34 remaining in the game, marks the programs' first ever score at home.
The Pioneers hit the road next Saturday in a rematch against Notre Dame College beginning at 11:00 a.m.
First Half
- The Yellow Jackets took a 71-0 lead in the first half on 11 tries
- Anne-Laurence Harvey was 9-for-11 on conversion kicks
Second Half
- The Pioneers pushed Mazza into the try zone for SHU's first home score of the season
- AIC put 30 more points on the board before Mazza found the try zone again bringing SHU's score to 10
- Overall the Yellow Jackets added 43 points to their total in the second half
