Mazza Finds the Try Zone Twice in Pioneers' Loss to AIC

FAIRFIELD, CONN. (September 19, 2015)—Rachel Mazza scored two tries in the Sacred Heart women's rugby team's 114-10 loss to AIC Saturday on Campus Field. Her first, with 37:34 remaining in the game, marks the programs' first ever score at home.

The Pioneers hit the road next Saturday in a rematch against Notre Dame College beginning at 11:00 a.m.

First Half

The Yellow Jackets took a 71-0 lead in the first half on 11 tries
Anne-Laurence Harvey was 9-for-11 on conversion kicks

Second Half

The Pioneers pushed Mazza into the try zone for SHU's first home score of the season
AIC put 30 more points on the board before Mazza found the try zone again bringing SHU's score to 10
Overall the Yellow Jackets added 43 points to their total in the second half
