The Sacred Heart Men's Wrestling team started their season off at the Dragon Duals, hosted by Drexel College at North Penn High School.

In the first dual of the Day the Pioneers suffered a tough loss to Gardner Webb, where Junior Tim Johnson was the only Pioneer to come out victorious. Johnson started the match off with a Fall in the first period, in 1:38 seconds. The success was short lived as the team went on to lose a hard fought battle with the Gardner Webb team loses 35-6.

In the second dual of the day the Pioneers were determined to come out of the day with a team win. The Pioneers took on Shippensburg and yet again Tim Johnson got things started with a first period pin in 1:44. Johnson set the tempo for the remainder of the match as sophomore Gerard Daly also added a Fall coming in the second period. With the team jumping to an early 12-0 lead, Kyle Brady picked up a decision, extending the lead to 15-3. The Pioneers continued to wrestle tough as they ended the match 30-15, Dom Celli picked up a technical fall at 174, and Casey Mitchell also pined his opponent.

The Pioneers hit the mat again this Friday against Drexel University at 7:00pm in the Pitt Center for their first home dual meet of the season.
