PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Sacred Heart wrestling team traveled to Philadelphia Friday night to face the Drexel Dragons. The Pioneers finished the night losing the dual match 48-0.
Sacred Heart struggled throughout the night to get anything going as they were unable to get a win in the ten matches. The closest match in the competition was in the 184-pound class between Junior Elliot Antler and Stephen Loiseau. The only points that occurred between the two were from escapes. Antler and Loiseau went scoreless throughout the first two periods. Loiseau got an escape with 1:20 in the final period up 1-0. Antler kept it tight and attempted to go for a takedown but Loiseau got another escape and time run out.
The Pioneers will head back home for a doubleheader this Sunday hosting Bucknell 4:00pm and Princeton 6:00pm.
