Women's Basketball Announces Class of 2020

FAIRFIELD, CONN. (June 29, 2016)—Sacred Heart Women's Basketball Head Coach Jessica Mannetti announced the three members of the Pioneers' Class of 2020 Tuesday afternoon. Madison Cheatham of Upper Marlboro, Md., Allyson Murphy of North Bellmore, N.Y. and Jenna Silletti of Huntington, N.Y. will join SHU for the 2016-17 season as the Pioneers look to defend their Northeast Conference Regular Season Title.
Madison Cheatham | Forward | 6'4"
Hometown/High School: Upper Marlboro, Md./St. John's College High School
Athletic Accomplishments:
- Led her team to the WCAC Championship in 2013 and were WCAC finalists in 2014 and 2016
- Two time DCSAA Champion in 2014 and 2016
- A four-year member of the varsity girls basketball team at St. John's College High
Academic Accolades:
- St. John's College High School Honor Roll
Allyson Murphy | Guard | 5'6"
Hometown/High School: North Bellmore, N.Y. / St. Anthony's High School
Athletic Accomplishments:
- Named All-County Team Freshman of the Year
- Led her team to the NSCHSGAA League Championship in 2016, and the Catholic State Championship in 2014 and 2016
- Named the MVP of the Conrad McRae Youth League High School Championship
Academic Accolades:
- St. Anthony's High School Honor Roll student
Jenna Silletti | Forward | 6'2"
Hometown/High School: Huntington, N.Y./Long Island Lutheran High School
Athletic Accomplishments:
- Led her team to three straight NYS Championships in 2013, 2014 and 2015, and was an NYS finalist in 2016
- Captain of the Long Island Lutheran girls basketball team her senior year
- Received the Coaches Award after the 2014-15 season
Academic Accolades:
- Four-year member of the National Honor Society
- Four-year member of the Star Honor Roll, which requires students to have an overall average of 90 or above in all their classes
