
Krufka Named NEC Player of the Week

FAIRFIELD, Conn.- Senior Sarah Krufka was named the Northeast Conference Player of the Week on Monday after her impressive performance at the Fairfield Invite.
Named to the All-Tournament Team at the Fairfield Invitational, Krufka averaged 4.30 kills per set and hit .407 for the Pioneers. She also added seven blocks and seven service aces. Against eventual tournament champion Villanova on Friday, Krufka recorded 16 kills and hit a scintillating .700 for the match. The reigning NEC Player of the Year, Krufka added 10 kills in a win over Fairfield and tallied 17 kills in the final match of the tournament against James Madison. She leads the NEC with 3.81 kills per set this season.
Krufka and the Pioneers volleyball team continue action this Friday at the New Hampshire Tournament as they take on Idaho State at 4:30 pm.
