FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart football team wraps up its non-conference slate Saturday when it hosts Dartmouth at Campus Field at 1 p.m. Saturday for Family Weekend.

Last Time Out: The Pioneers opened NEC play on Sept. 30 with a 26-15 loss to the Central Connecticut Blue Devils at Campus Field. SHU racked up 501 yards of total offense, but turned the ball over five times. Kevin Duke threw for a career-high 250 yards and a touchdown to Byron Barney. Nate Chavious rushed for 99 yards. CJ Parvelus and Kevin Barry each made 11 tackles.

 

Quick Hits:

- Saturday marks the Pioneers' first day game of the season.

- SHU is 2-0 all-time against the Ivy League at Campus Field, including a 24-21 win over Dartmouth in 2011.

- The Pioneers are among the top-15 teams in the FCS in kickoff returns (24.67 yds./return) and sacks allowed (1.0/game).

SHU vs. Dartmouth

The Series: Saturday marks the fifth meeting between the Pioneers and Big Green. The two teams have split the first four games of the series, with Dartmouth winning 49-7 at Memorial Field on Sept. 26, 2015.

Last Meeting: Dartmouth tied the all-time series with the Pioneers 2-2 on Sept. 26, 2015 with a 49-7 win at Memorial Field. Quarterback Dalyn Williams led the Big Green offense with 313 passing yards, one touchdown pass, and a touchdown run. Ryder Stone added two rushing touchdowns and 72 rushing yards. The Pioneers' lone touchdown came on a one-yard run by Nate Chavious in the third quarter. Kevin Duke was 16-for-26 passing for 185 yards. Alec Finelli had six tackles, a TFL, and a forced fumble.

Scouting the Big Green: Dartmouth moved to 4-0 on the year, and 2-0 in the Ivy League, with a 28-27 win over Yale at Memorial Field. The Big Green trailed 21-0 midway through the second quarter, and rallied for their largest comeback in program history. Quarterback Jack Heneghan threw for 314 yards and three touchdowns, two of which were to Drew Hunnicutt. Since beating Stetson 38-7 on Sept. 16, Dartmouth has beaten Holy Cross, Penn, aand Yale by a combined five points.
