
Women's Volleyball Closes Regular-Season with 3-1 Win Over Robert Morris

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The Sacred Heart University women's volleyball team won its third match in a row, as the Pioneers downed Robert Morris on the road in four sets to close the regular-season Saturday evening.
Liisel Nelis had a game-high 19 kills and added 15 digs for the double-double to lead the Pioneers. Alix Polk narrowly missed a double-double with 10 digs and eight kills to lead the Pioneers (16-9, 9-5 NEC).
The Pioneers return to action Friday, Nov. 16, when they take on top-seeded LIU Brooklyn on the road in the semifinals of the NEC Tournament.

With SHU trailing 12-19, the Pioneers took the next five points, led by three straight service aces from Alix Polk

Fresh off a Robert Morris timeout and SHU leading 23-17, Polk recorded a kill, followed by an RMU attack error for SHU to clinche the set

After playing to a 19-19 tie, Sarah Ciszek recorded a kill to push the Pioneers ahead 20-19

Gianna Scioletti followed with a kill of her own to force a Colonials timeout

Out of the timeout, SHU took three of the last four points with an RMU service error clinching the set for the Pioneers
