Box Score The Sacred Heart University women's volleyball team won for the third consecutive time, sweeping Northeast Conference host Merrimack College Friday night. The victory improves the Pioneers to 17-12 on the year and 12-3 in NEC action, while the Warriors fall to 1-23 on the season and 0-15 in NEC play.
The Pioneers hit .301 on the night, with 32 kills and committed only 10 errors. The Pioneers also finished with 12 total blocks
The Pioneers host Bryant in the regular season finale, Saturday at 5:00 pm at the Pitt Center. The Senior class will be honored following the match.

First Set: SHU 25, Merrimack 17
- Merrimack took a 12-11 lead on a Brooke Leestma kill, but gave the point right back with a service error
- Gianna Scioletti put SHU in front with an ace, the first of three straight points to give the Pioneers a 15-12 advantage and force a Warriors timeout
- Taylor Sawyer killed a ball in the next rally, to break the scoreless streak
- Julia Murawinski answered with a kill, that was followed by three Warrior errors to put the Pioneers in front 19-13
- Liisel Nelis scored to make the score 22-16, which was answered by a Sawyer kill, to make the advantage five for the Pioneers
- A Murawinski kill started a set ending 3-0 SHU run
Second Set: SHU 25, Merrimack 14
- The Warriors opened with consecutive points and built a 9-4 lead
- Reghan Palanchi started the Pioneers comeback with a kill that started a run that got SHU within two, 9-7
- The Pioneers were able to close within one point on two occasions, before drawing even at 11-11
- SHU outscored Merrimack 18-4 after falling behind 10-7
Third Set: SHU 25, Merrimack 5
- The Pioneers never trailed in the set, being tied 2-2 and leading 5-3 before a Sawyer kill brought the Warriors within a point
- A service error by Merrimack began a stretch of 14 consecutive points for the Pioneers, that opened a 19-4 advantage
- The run saw SHU collect seven kills and an ace from Jasmine Rogers
