Box Score The Sacred Heart University women's volleyball team swept Northeast Conference visitor, Fairleigh Dickinson, 3-0, Saturday night at the Pitt Center. The Pioneers improve to 15-11 overall and 10-3 in the conference and the Knights drop to 3-25 on the season and 2-12 in NEC action.
The Pioneers hit .300 on the night, with a .486 hitting percentage in the final set. Three Pioneers finished in double-figures in kills.
SHU returns to action on Wednesday, when it travels to Central Connecticut State for a 7:00 pm match.

- Gianna Scioletti led the Pioneers with 13 kills and hit .409 for the night
- Julia Murawinski finished with a dozen kills and six digs, while Rianna McNamee tallied 10 kills
- Liisel Nelis and Emma Smallcomb both recorded 12 digs for the Pioneers
- Sarah Ciszek had a 4-assists, 10-dig double-double
- SHU finished with 5.0 team blocked, led by three from Scioletti

Set 1
- Maggie Maksimovic recorded back-to-back kills to give FDU a 7-5 advantage
- After a service error, Gianna Scioletti out down a kill, that was followed by an FDU error to give SHU an 8-7 lead
- The Knights were able to even the score, 8-8, before Scioletti started a 6-1 run, that gae the Pioneers a 14-9 lead
- FDU was able to close within two after three Pioneer errors, at 19-17
- An FDU error gave SHU its 20th point, and the Pioneer rallied for six of the final seven points to earn the victory
Set 2
- The Pioneers fell behind 3-2 and the match was tied at 7-7
- From that point, the Pioneers when on an 8-0 run that saw kills from four different Pioneers, including two from McNamee
- SHU committed consecutive five hitting errors over the next several points, and FDU climbed within four, 19-15
- An FDU service error put SHU at 20, and then Murawinski had two kills as the Pioneers finished with five of the last seven points
Set 3
- The Pioneers trailed just once in a final set that saw five ties, through 7-7
- Scioletti and Murawinski blocked a Mambu swing to break that tie and put the Pioneers on a 4-0 run, that extended to 9-1
- SHU committed only three errors in the third set, hitting .486. that helped an 18-5 run after the 7-7 tie
