Box Score The Sacred Heart University women's volleyball team fell to top-ranked, and seeded, Baylor, in the first round of the 2019 NCAA Volleyball Tournament in Waco, Texas. The Pioneers end the campaign with a 20-12 record, while the Bears improve to 26-1 and advance to face USC in the second round.
The Pioneers were led by sixth-year senior, Makayla Dole, who hit .353 in her final match, with nine kills.
The Pioneers won 20 matches for the fifth-time in program history in 2019 and made their third NCAA Tournament appearance.

First-Set: Baylor 25, SHU 20
- Scioletti started with a kill and followed by partnering with Murawinski on a block to give SHU a 2-0 advantage
- After a Shelly Stafford kill, Murawinski and Dole put the ball on the ground for a 4-1 edge
- McGhee and Pressley scored four-straight, as part of a 5-0 Bear run to put Baylor in front 6-4
- A Dole kill and Baylor error, tied the score, 6-6
- McGhee gave Baylor a 7-6 lead, which Dole and Palanchi answered, to give the Pioneers an 8-7 advantage
- A Jasmin Rogers ace made the SHU run 6-4, and gave the Pioneers a 10-8 advantage

- Palanchi and Ciszek combined on a block for the 11-10 advantage
- Ciszek went on two, to break an 11-11 tie, inside the near line
- The Bears scored the next four points, with two SHU errors, to take a 15-12 advantage to the media timeout
- Murawinski drilled a ball down the line to end the run, which was followed by a Bear error to get the Pioneers within a point, 15-14
- The Bears responded with three straight points, forcing a SHU timeout with the score, 18-14
- The Pioneers were able to get within three, 19-16, but the Bears answered with three- straight, for a 22-16 edge
- Dole scored a point of the Baylor block to momentarily stop the run
- Baylor led 23-17 before kills from Palanchi and an Emma Smallcomb ace, brouth the Pioneers within four, 23-19
- The Pioneers fended off the first set point with a Scioletti kill, but a service error gave the Bears a 25-20 win
Second Set: Baylor 25, SHU 18
- Scioletti's kill gave SHU a 2-1 lead in the second set
- Dole put a ball inside the end line, to end a 3-0 Baylor run, and make the score 4-3
- Palanchi put a ball off a defender to knot the score, 4-4
- Dole answered a Baylor point with her seventh kill, to retie the set, 5-5
- Scioletti and Murawinski blocked a Pressley swing, to give SHU an 8-7 lead
- A bad pass on the ensuing serve gave the Pioneers a 9-7 advantage
- Stafford and Van der Mark followed with kills and an ace from Shanel Bramschreiber put the Bears in front 10-9
- A Murawinski and Scioletti block, tied the set, 10-10
- Three points later Murawinski gave SHU 12-11 lead
- Baylor scored four-straight, into the media timeout, to build a 15-12 lead
- The Bears scored twice out of the media and forced a SHU timeout
- A service error was followed by a Palanchi kill and the Pioneers close within 17-14
- The Pioneers scored back-to-back points on kills from Scioletti and Nelis to get within two, 20-18
- The Bears closed with five straight points, on three kills, to take the set
Third Set: Baylor 25, SHU 8
- Baylor scored first, for the first time in the match, and ran out to a 3-0 lead, in part a pair of SHU errors
- The Bears opened a 5-1 lead, before Dole landed a ball just inside the end line, for her ninth kill of the match
- Kills from Milana and two from Pressley pushed the advantage to 9-3
- Palanchi put a ball on the ground and a Baylor error brought the Pioneers within 9-5
- The Bears scored six of seven points to open a nine-point advantage, 15-6
- A service error and a hitting error gave SHU two points, before a Bear kill and ace pushed the advantage back to nine, 17-8
- Van der Mar recorded consecutive kills out of the timeout and the Bears finished the match without allowing another point
