
Mangiameli Tabbed NCAA Statistical Champion in Sacrifice Hits Per Game

INDIANAPOLIS, IN.- Sacred Heart University Softball senior outfielder Stephanie Mangiameli was the named NCAA statistical champion in sacrifice hits per game averaging .36 sac hits a game.
Mangiameli put up a batting average of .266 tallying 42 hits, with five doubles, one triple and one home run. She was also tied for first on team in runs scored with 35. Her best game came against Bryant on April 27 when she went 3-4 at the plate with an RBI as well which aided the Pioneers to a 12-5 victory.
The Pioneers had an impressive conference record of 11-5 while going 28-27 overall on year. SHU was eliminated in the NEC Tournament after falling to Saint Francis (Pa.) and Mount St. Mary's.
