
Women's Volleyball's Jasmine Rogers Named NEC Rookie of the Week

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Sacred Heart University women's volleyball freshman Jasmine Rogers was named the NEC Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league Monday afternoon.
This is the first time this season that Rogers has been named Rookie of the Week and the first weekly award won for the Pioneers.
In a 2-1 weekend, Rogers totaled 22 kills, 24 digs and four blocks. She averaged 3.43 digs and 3.14 kills per set. In a sweep over Northeastern Rogers registered 10 kills and five digs. Rogers followed with career-highs with 19 digs and 12 kills in a four set loss vs. Fairfield.
The Pioneers return to action Friday, Sept. 20, when SHU travels to New Haven to take on Army West Point in the Yale Invitational at 4:30 p.m.
