
Five Men's Hockey Players Named AHCA All-Americans

GLOUCESTER, MA- Five members of the Sacred Heart University Men's Ice Hockey team were named to the American Hockey Coaches Association/Krampade Division I Scholar All-Americans as announced by the association on July 21.
"I am very proud of these seven players for receiving this impressive honor. Their hard work and dedication to the program this season as well as commitment to excellence in the classroom shined through this award." Head coach CJ Marottolo on the players receiving the honor.
The award honors varsity ice hockey players who attained a 3.75 or better grade-point average in each semester and participated in at least 40 percent of their school's games, with the games requirement waived for injuries or for reserve goalkeepers who dressed but did not play.
The members who accomplished this impressive honor were forward Vito Bavaro, forward, Matt Tugnutt, defenseman Jeppe Urup, forward Braeden Tuck, and forward Tim Clifton. These four Pioneers were part of a group of 497 division one men and women who also received the honor. For Bavaro and Tugnutt, this was the second straight year the two have received the honor.
