Following an eight-day layoff, the Sacred Heart University men's basketball team is on the road Saturday and Sunday to face Mount St. Mary's. Currently the Pioneers are a game back of the Mountaineers for the fourth spot in the NEC Tournament. Sacred Heart has yet to win the first of the back-to-back league games, but is undefeated in the rematch.
OPENING TIP
- Winners of three of their last four games, Sacred Heart goes on the road for a pair of games at Mount St. Mary's.
- The Mountaineer lead the all-time series 26-14 but SHU has taken 3 of the last 4, including the 2020 NEC Tournament Quarterfinals.
- The Pioneers picked up an 82-70 win over St. Francis to split its two-game NEC series.
