BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY – The Sacred Heart University women's volleyball team wasted little time in picking up a Northeast Conference victory on Friday. The Pioneers went on the road to defeat St. Francis Brooklyn, 3-0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-19).

SHU was very sharp on offense, committing just eight errors on its way to a .330 hitting percentage that is the second-highest of the season.
The Pioneers held the Terriers to a .132 rate thanks to a 56-46 advantage in digs. Dominique Felix led all players with 16 digs.
Kills by Jasmine Rogers and Sarah Ciszek started a 4-0 run in the first set that gave SHU an 11-4 advantage it would not relinquish. In the second set, three SFBK errors and another Rogers' winner pushed the margin to 20-13. The Terriers pulled within 19-16 in the third frame before Mackenzie Eford opened and finished a 4-2 run with a pair of kills.
Three different Pioneers reached double-digit kills, topped by a match-high 11 from Olivia Fairchild. Rogers and Ciszek followed with 10 apiece and Ciszek added 32 assists for the double-double.
