BROOKLYN, NY – A season sweep of LIU was not in the cards for the Sacred Heart University women's volleyball team. The Pioneers fell 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-22) to the Sharks on Saturday.

LIU won all three sets by the narrowest of margins. The two teams were evenly matched with the Sharks holding a slim .211-to-.140 advantage in hitting percentage.
Reghan Palanchi had a pair of kills in the first set to narrow the LIU lead to 21-20. Unfortunately, the two teams traded points until the Sharks took the opening frame. LIU went on runs late in the second and third sets to capture the match.
Palanchi had a team-best 10 kills while hitting .350.
