
Ciszek Collects Third NEC Weekly Honor

Senior leads the country in triple-doubles
SOMERSET, N.J. – Sacred Heart University senior setter Sarah Ciszek continues to be the preeminent offensive player in the Northeast Conference. Tuesday she was recognized as the NEC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week as announced by the league office.
A native of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., it's the 11th NEC weekly honor of Ciszek's career and the third this season. She shares the award with Saint Francis' Madi Tyus. Maggie Means from SFU was named Rookie of the Week while LIU's Anastasia Scott collected Defensive Player of the Week.
During a pair of matches, Ciszek averaged 3.0 kills, 8.0 assists and 2.6 digs. She recorded her national-leading fourth triple-double with 15 kills, 36 assists and 14 digs against Saint Francis. In the opening game of the weekend, Ciszek notched 28 assists, nine kills and seven assists in the win over Fairleigh Dickinson.
Sacred Heart is home Friday to face Central Connecticut State at 7 p.m.
