
McNicholas Sweeps Diving Events at Fairfield Invite

SHU leads the invite after day one with 102 points
FAIRFIELD, Conn.- A strong night of diving from Olivia McNicholas placed the Sacred Heart University swimming and diving team in first at the Fairfield Invite on Friday. The Pioneers look to capitalize on the diving sweep tomorrow in swimming events at 12:00 p.m.
McNicholas took first in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives with scores of 210.75 and 213.35 respectively. Natalie Carbone placed third in the 1-meter dive with a score of 190.00 while Megan McLaughlin took fourth (184.00). Molly Martin and Alex Bonanno placed seventh and eighth to round out the SHU divers.
Martin took fourth in the 3-meter with a score of 197.55 while Natalie Carbone (186.85) and Megan McLaughlin (183.00) took fifth and sixth and Bonanno placed eighth (161.85).
At the end of the night, SHU leads the invite with 102 points with Fairfield trailing in second with 66 followed by Southern Connecticut State (18) and Manhattan (0).
