
Softball Welcomes Kaysee Talcik to Coaching Staff

Talcik begins her collegiate coaching reign after a standout pitching career at UMass Lowell
FAIRFIELD, Conn.- Sacred Heart University softball head coach Pam London announced on Tuesday the addition of Kaysee Talcik as the teams new pitching coach. Talcik returns to her home state to begin her collegiate coaching reign after a standout career as a pitcher.
"We are thrilled that Kaysee has decided to begin her collegiate coaching career here at Sacred Heart University" stated London. "She brings her recent experience pitching at the D1 level, and a fresh enthusiasm for coaching as she will become the head of our pitching staff."
Talcik enjoyed an impressive collegiate playing career at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Over her career, she started 85 of 110 games. She ranks second on the program's all-time record list with 108 appearances in the circle for a total of 561.2 innings. She compiled a 33-51 overall record as well as a career ERA of 3.27. During her four years, she threw 58 complete games, added nine shut outs, three saves and totaled 317 strikeouts which ranks her fourth all-time.
As a freshman in 2016, Talcik was named to the America East All-Rookie team. As a junior, in 2018, she was a First Team All-Conference selection, as well as a two-time member of the All-Championship Team. Talcik also left her mark as a River Hawk by throwing UMass Lowell's first ever perfect game that led to a 4-0 victory against Stony Brook on April 27, 2019.
Outside of her success wearing the River Hawk uniform, Talcik also pitched in the World Cup of Softball for Team Puerto Rico in 2017 and was a member of the historic Stratford Brakettes from 2017 to 2021.
Talcik holds a degree in business administration from UMass Lowell that she received in 2019.
