BRIDGEPORT, Conn.- The first-career hat-trick for Austin Magera of the Sacred Heart University men's ice hockey team wasn't enough as the Pioneers fell to Bentley 5-4 in overtime.

Of Note:
- Junior Austin Magera scored his first-career hat-trick racking up three goals on the night keeping the Pioneers within reach of defeating the Falcons.
- After SHU took a quick 2-0 lead in the first period, the second period would be a different story as Bentley fired back with three unanswered goals including a power-play goal by Matt Gosiewski his first of the night at 3:33 into the period to put the Falcons ahead 3-2.
- In the closing minutes of the second, senior Marc Johnstone took advantage of the power-play with a goal off feeds by Marcel Godbout and Josh Allan 18:29 into the period to even the score up a 3-3.
- Magera would score the game-tying goal a little over halfway through in the third period to send the game into overtime.
- Just 25 seconds into the overtime period, Gosiewski would nail the game-winner to give the Falcons the extra point of night resulting in the 5-4 victory.
