WEST POINT, N.Y.- A third-period attack by Army West Point led to a 4-0 victory for the Black Knights over the Sacred Heart University men's ice hockey team in game one of the Atlantic Hockey Quarterfinals.

Of Note

In the opening period, neither side was able to get on the board after an Army goal was waved off due to offsides on the Black Knights early in the first.
Shots on goal were all even at 11 a piece as a Pioneer power-play at the end of the period led to an increase on the shots at goalie Trevin Kozlowski.
After the second period, the game remained scoreless as the Pioneer penalty kill proved effective in halting the Black Knights on two man-advantage opportunities.
Early in the third period, Army would strike first with a goal from Mitch Machlitt 1:25 into the period to put the Black Knights ahead 1-0.
Then four minutes later Army would add onto their lead with 14:43 remaining in the period with a goal from Ricky Lyle to put the Black Knights ahead 2-0.
Army would score two more goals in the period to walk away with the 4-0 victory.
