NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — The Sacred Heart University baseball team dropped 4-2 in its second game of the series at Central Connecticut State University on Saturday. 

Records: 

Sacred Heart: 2-13, 0-2 NEC 

Central Connecticut: 5-2, 2-0 NEC 

Statistical Leaders: 

Austin Markmann (SHU): 3-4 1R 

Justin Jordan (SHU): 1-4, 1R 

Of Note: 

• Anthony Porrino singled in the fourth inning, driving home Austin Markmann for his first RBI in his senior year. Markmann got into scoring range after Robert Farruggio belted a ground-rule double. 
• In the top of the fifth, Justin Jordan connected with home plate when Joey Skarad grounded out to the shortstop.  
• The Pioneers outhit the Blue Devils 11 to eight but couldn't capitalize with 11 stranded on base. 
• Ryan LaMay opened for six innings, giving up all four runs with five strikeouts.
