Box Score NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — In the final contest of the three-day series, the Sacred Heart University baseball team toppled Central Connecticut State University, 3-2, on Sunday. The Pioneers avoided the series sweep with their first Northeast Conference win of the season.

- Anthony Porrino's single to centerfield sent Joey Skarad home and secured the win for the Pioneers in the seventh inning.
- In the top of the fifth, a CCSU error allowed Justin Jordan to knot the game, 1-1, followed by an Austin Marrmann RBI single to score Porrino
- Chase Jeter threw for 6.1 innings, allowing both runs with one strikeout to get the victory and improve 1-1.
- Senior Brendan Coffey's threw a hitless ninth inning to secure his third save this season.
