- The Pioneers jumped on the board first in the opening half with a goal coming off the foot of first year Sofia Germano for her first career goal as a Pioneer off a feed by sophomore Meadow Mancini 10:30 into the half to give SHU a 1-0 lead.
- Then just four minutes into the second half, the Pioneers would strike again with a goal from Michelle Clarkin for her second of the season off a pass by Francesca Peloro to give SHU a 2-0 lead 49:22 into the game.
- After Mount answered in the 59th minute, off a goal by Lindsay Reightler to tighten the SHU lead to 2-1, Jill Klem fired a goal just seven minutes later off a pair of assists by Azria Malloy and Sofia Germano to give SHU the 3-1 victory.
