Box Score FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Grace Reinold scored twice in the final three and half minutes to lift the Sacred Heart University women's lacrosse team to victory on Wednesday. The Pioneers defeated Merrimack College, 15-14.

Lydia Werlau scored her fourth goal of the game to put SHU up 13-12 with 9:53 remaining. The Warriors answered with two scores, including Natalie Calkins' tally at the 7:31 mark.
Emma Kittredge picked up a ground ball off a Kerri Metzler's shot to keep the ball in the SHU end of the field. Forty seconds later Metzler found Reinold who scored with 3:35 to play.
Elizabeth Small won the ensuing draw control and a yellow card to the Warriors gave SHU the extra attacker. Werlau found a streaking Reinhold in front of the net and beat goalie Sam Preston for the winning goal.
It was a closely contested game with neither team having a lead larger than two goals. Sydney Colesworthy scored off a free position with just one second on the clock to give SHU a 7-6 halftime advantage.
Werlau led the Pioneers with four goals – her fourth game in a row with at least three goals - while Reinold added a hat trick and Colesworthy notched two. Metzler had a goal and three assists.
Merrimack's Haley Bartlett led all players with five goals while Taylor Darrell scored three times.
She had the 18-11 advantage in draw controls which led to a 36-25 advantage in shots.
