Gonzalez Tabbed NEC Player of the Week

SOMERSET, N.J.- Sacred Heart University softball junior Alyssa Gonzalez was named Northeast Conference Player of the Week for her play over the past weekend at Mount St. Mary's. This is the first time this season Gonzalez has been awarded the honor.

Gonzalez went 6-11 at the dish this weekend recording 4 home runs, 9 RBI's, and 5 runs scored tallying a .545 for the four games played.

The junior currently leads the Pioneers in batting average with a .375 average in the box while also leading in home runs (13), RBI (32), on-base percentage (.439), and slugging percentage (.841). She currently sits tied for 31st in the nation in home runs this season.
