Box Score BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Finally finding its rhythm again after a slow start coming off a two-week hiatus, the Sacred Heart University baseball team captured an explosive 12-7 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday.

Of Note:
- Robert Farruggio led the team with four runs with one in the second, fourth, fifth and the final run for the team in the sixth.
- The highlight of the offense was the five runs by Farruggio, Danny Glendon, Joe Emerson, Anthony Porrino and Joey Skarad in the bottom of the fifth that kept the bases loaded for the majority of the inning.
- The Pioneers tallied three runs in the first two innings before the Knights showed the scoreboard some love with one in the top of the fourth.
- The Red and White were up by five after the fourth thanks to Justin Jordan's single that drove in Farruggio and Elijah Brown's double which allowed Jordan and Skarad to cross the plate.
- It was the battle of the number sevens on the mound, with Chase Jeter taking the cake for his fifth win after six innings and handing FDU's Joey Kosowsky's second loss.
