Carroll Named NEC Rookie of the Week

SOMERSET, N.J.- Sacred Heart University softball freshman Emily Carroll was named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week for her play over the past weekend against Bryant. This is the second time the freshman has been named Rookie of the Week this season.
Carroll batted .429 at the plate while recording two RBI's, and three runs scored against Bryant this past weekend. She went 6-10 at the plate with two doubles and scoring in a pair of RBI's. Carroll currently leads the freshman class in all categories includes hits (33), doubles (7), and home runs (6).
Carroll and the rest of the Pioneers hit the road to the NEC Tournament to take on #1 seed Saint Francis U at 12:00 p.m. The game will be streamed on NEC Front Row.
