Box Score WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – For the first time since 2019, the Sacred Heart University women's tennis team opened its season triumphantly as they topped Monmouth, 6-1, on Wednesday. The Pioneers continue their 14-match win streak over the Hawks that dates to 2005. 
 
Three Pioneers took three victories in straight sets in single action led by sophomore Katsiaryna Starastsenka who defeated Nicole Gasser, 6-0, 6-0. First-years Aina Garriga and Ana Sofia Angeles Sánchez collected their first singles victories of their careers over Lauren Landstrom and Sydney DeNardo with identical scores, 6-2, 6-1. 
 
The tandem of Kim Fenton and Fenee Sharma grabbed a convincing 6-0 win at number three doubles. Ciara O'Toole and Starastsenka also earned a doubles win at number one over Ann Spurka and Gasser, 6-2.
