Women Claim Fourth; Men Finish Seventh
NEW BRITAIN, Conn.— The Sacred Heart University men's and women's cross country teams placed in the top 10 at the Ted Owen Invitational at Central Connecticut State on Saturday. The women took home fourth while the men placed seventh.
Isabella Rogler claimed a top-10 finish individually for the women, crossing the line in ninth at 19:00. Emily Bloom (19:17) and Alexandra Chakar (19:46) finished the race in the top 20 at 14th and 19th place respectively.
Moetiz Shlleh led the men for the second time this season, completing the race at 36th with 27:59.
Up next, SHU will head to Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. for the New England Cross Country Championships on October 9 at 11 a.m.
