SHU hits over .300 for second-straight match.
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University women's volleyball team got out to a fast start Thursday night against Fairleigh Dickinson and never looked back. The Pioneers toppled the Knights, 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-17).

Sacred Heart hit .357 in the opening frame while limiting the visitors to just .063. The Pioneers clicked at a .317 pace for the evening and held FDU to a mere .092.
The Pioneers got offensive contributions across the board with five different players recording seven or more kills. Leading the way was outside hitter Dominique Felix with 11. Setter Sarah Ciscek flirted with a triple-double, recording 28 assists, nine kills and seven digs.
Libero Emma Smallcomb notched a match-high 12 digs to help SHU to a 49-35 advantage over the Knights.
An 8-2 run at the start of the match gave the Pioneers plenty of cushion. FDU closed within 16-13 in the second stanza only to see Sacred Heart respond with a 5-1 run. Blocks by Ciszek and Kate Anderson capped a 14-7 run to clinch the match.
