Meadow Mancini nets her first goal of 2021 season
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The first-ever meeting between the Sacred Heart University women's soccer team and cross-town foe Fairfield ended in a 1-1 draw on Sunday afternoon.

The Pioneers got on the board early when the ball found its way to Meadow Mancini's foot in the 15th minute. The goal is the first goal for Mancini this season.
With just 20 seconds remaining in regulation, Fairfield pulled its goalkeeper, Gena Pike, off her mark to help crowd the box during a corner. Pike capitalized on the offensive opportunity with a header for the equalizer.
The Stags led in both shots (14-11) and corners (10-3).
Junior Azria Malloy led SHU with three shots and two on goal. Freshmen Jaci Budaj and Grace O'Hara each fired two while Nichol Green and Desiree Crawford tallied one apiece.
Kipperman's seven saves marks a season best.
