ROCHESTER, N.Y.- Two goals in the final period weren't enough as the Sacred Heart University men's ice hockey team fell to RIT 3-2 on Tuesday.

Of Note:

Junior Neil Shea continued on his point streak with a pair of assists. His point streak is now is up to seven on the year.
Senior Ryan Steele tallied his seventh goal of the season.
The Pioneers recorded their second largest amount of shots on goal on the year with 39.
RIT jumped out to a 3-0 lead heading into the final period as they tallied two goals in the first period 7:08 and 9:34 into the game.
The Tigers added one more in the second on the power-play from Nick Bruce 13:36 into the period.
SHU attempted a comeback as senior Ryan Steele fired a long distance shot from the blue line off feeds from Kevin Lombardi and Neil Shea to tighten the RIT lead to 3-1.
Then in the closing minutes, Andrius Kulbis-Marino found the open hole to score his third goal of the year to cut the Tiger lead to one, 18:38 into the period.
RIT held off the extra man advantage in the closing minute to result in the 3-2 defeat.
