Copley and Palumbo victorious for Pioneers.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – A depleted Sacred Heart University men's wrestling squad could not keep pace with Harvard University on Saturday. The Crimson defeated the Pioneers, 39-6.

The Pioneers fell to 1-3 overall, 0-2 in the EIWA. Harvard got its first win of the season to improve to 1-1.

Sacred Heart got on the board first as the match started at 157 pounds. Nick Palumbo edged out Trevor Tarsi for the 3-2 victory. Harvard won the next four matches before Nick Copley stopped the streak. He recorded a 7-2 win at 285 pounds over Jeffrey Crooks.

Harvard dashed any hopes of a Sacred Heart comeback by winning the last four bouts.

Sacred Heart is on the road next Saturday to face Bucknell at 5 p.m.
